Chin augmentation / Chin enhancement

The position and contour of the chin play an important role in the harmony of the facial profile. If a chin appears to be underdeveloped or to slope backwards, one speaks of a receding or weak chin. A receding chin is usually present at birth, but may also develop later in life if the volume of the lower jaw decreases. The appearance of a receding chin can be improved with a filler. This is referred to as chin augmentation or chin enhancement. Enhancing the chin with a filler is classified as a structuring treatment. More information on structuring treatments can be found here: Structuring treatments.
