Eyes, dark circles
There are several causes for dark circles under the eyes. They may be caused by loss of subcutaneous fat (tear troughs), by reduced elasticity of the skin and connective tissue (bags under the eyes) or by pigments. If reduced volume is the main cause of these changes (sunken rings under the eyes with formation of a tear trough), they can be treated with a filler. However, if reduced elasticity of connective tissue is the main problem, surgical correction is usually the most effective procedure.
